Screw in brackets of the appropriate size at the location of the rod. Make sure that the diameter of the rod is appropriate for the bracket.
Cut two fabric panels according to the dimensions that you have calculated by using a pair of sharp scissors. Fold the bottom edges of the fabric panels by 2 inches and hem the edges neatly with a sewing machine. If you do not have a sewing machine, you can hem the edges by hand. When you are done hemming the bottom edges of the fabric, hem the side edges by tucking and folding the fabric edges by 1 inch. Make sure that all the folded edges of the side and the bottom face the same side.
Most of the lace curtains are usually finished in either a white or an ivory appearance, but it is not a matter of concern if you have already decided to get a lace curtain with another color. These lace curtains can easily be dyed or tea-stained into any suitable shade. So if you think an ivory shade of the lace curtain is not what you want, then you can get it transformed into any color of your choice.
