The material of a curtain or blind can really make a difference in how a room feels. Heavy draperies can make a room feel stuffy, or in the right conditions, regal. Bamboo blinds offer a different feel than metal blinds. A light, sheer material draped over a rod can make a room feel airy and light or cold. It is always best to follow the theme of the room when choosing materials. Lighter materials often go best in airier rooms. However, this rule can be broken in some cases. Playing around with different textures will yield the best results.
After the long strip, I cut the strips in half and make them two strips. Then I folded the strips in half then iron them neatly. Then I aligned the unfinished edge of the trim fabrics with the right side of the panel edge. Then I sewed them using the 1/2 inches inseam. After sewing iron them again.
Blinds are the real winner when it comes to functionality. There adjustable stance, rod manoeuvrability can help you control the exact amount of light that enters your room. Blinds can help you obscure the view, offering the perfect amount of natural light into your home. When it comes to functionality blinds are vastly superior compared to curtains, so again, it entirely falls down to preference, dcor and style.
