You will now need to use plastic clips in order to attach the valance that will hide the top rail. Ensure that the vanes face in the same direction and have a hole drilled at one end so that clips can be slipped in at the bottom of the head rail.
Cafe Curtains with Swag Valance Cafe curtains are frequently used in kitchen windows, but it can also be used to give two story windows a stylish flair. Mount one drapery rod midpoint from the top window and another just below the ceiling. Choose a rich fabric material like silk dupioni, taffeta or raw silk and hang it from the bottom drapery rod. Allow the drapes to pull to the floor to soften the look. On the top drapery rod, install swag valance in a geometric or floral print making sure that the colors of both the swag fabric and drapery fabric complement one another. Silk and satin swag valance looks the best in such windows and you can trim the valance with tassels and ribbons for a fancier look.
Once that is done click the valance clip down once extra notch so that it is all the way down on the head rail.
