Vinyl blinds are a cheaper alternative to window curtains and drapes. They are colored and have a wide range of styles like slatted, vertical, or solid, and sizes like mini or large. These are good for a humid environment as they are not affected by mildew and molds, which make them suitable for moist areas like kitchens and bathrooms. They have an added advantage of features like better light control and easy adjustment to any position like closed, semi-closed, or open. They are resistant to any kind of wear and tear and also have fewer issues of staining and cleaning. The only demerit is the lead content in them, which is not good for expecting mothers and their babies.
Depending on the availability, you may look for fresh or dried bamboo stalks. If you find the fresh variety, you will have to allow it to dry before you use it.
First measure the height and width of the curtain and ascertain at what height of the window you want to hang the curtains. Cut one single fabric panel with this dimension, making sure that you add 2 inches on each side for the hem. Place the fabric panel wrong side up on your workstation and then place the curtain rod over it. Fold the to edge of the fabric panel over the curtain rod and mark the point where the fabric edges meet. Remove curtain rod and attach the fusing tape on the top edge of the fabric panel.
